Greetings, I’m Carol. I was born with following condition(s):-
🙌🏾 I have been battling a chronic neurological condition since birth:-
💉 Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC) / Holoprosencephaly (HPE) with the absence of the Septum Pellucidum, Traces of Polymicrogyria (PMG) (abnormal brain folds), and Abnormal Dilation of the Lateral Ventricles
_Simplified - part of my brain that connects the two hemispheres is missing. A thin membrane that separates fluid-filled spaces in the brain is also absent and there are irregular brain folds and enlarged fluid spaces affecting my brain function._
I have a very rare brain condition—along with other complications, doctors didn’t expect me to live past 5 years. But by God’s grace, I’m 37 today, still fighting.
As a result, I experience:-
🧠 Memory loss from pressure to the brain, misfired and confused signals for normal body functions, dyslexia - Problem-solving difficulties - sometimes not timeously, coordination - organization challenges, vision problems and reading with speech difficulties, seizures, extreme overwhelming sensitivity in all five senses - eg, can smell an orange being eaten from 100 meters away and sense weather changes / shifts days before they happen, too frequent hospital visits and emergency care, due to involuntary muscle jerks, seizures, breathing difficulties, and fluid buildup in my brain.
🙌🏾 Also have Gynecological issues - continous bleeding and fibroits. Once had 3.8Kgs of Fibroits removed, l bleed excessively and on medication to try control it.
This year has been especially hard—my condition is worsening with more seizures, emergency admissions, investagations and tests resulting in rising medical bills
I'm currently undergoing tests and investigative procedures, requested by specialist Neorologist - thanks to your support, this has been made possible.
