Help Build Harvest Learning Centre, organized by Nigel Nhera

I live in a very remote rural area in Nyanga. One of the most remotest rural areas in Nyanga. The area has a still developing Primary School but has no Secondary School at all. This has led to mass migration of students to far areas were they can have access to a secondary school. This in turn compels students to rent rooms for accommodation. However, this has had far negative results to the students.

The girl child ends up being impregnated there in far away places as they will be far away from their parents who can monitor them. On the other hand boys end up engaging in drug abuse thereby abandoning their main core.

In a bid to resolve the root of the main problem (availability of a secondary school), I have initiated an Independent Secondary School in the area. However, the school kick-started this term (May 2025). The school is still growing. It does not have any buildings so far. We are conducting lessons in an old church building and also in a cabin room that we built.

We are appealing to donors who can help us to fund the school as we aim to build proper school learning blocks. We also need funding to cover the gap in terms of resources like furniture and text books.
