I'm Brightwell Ndebele, founder of Societal Touch, a growing online community for help in Zimbabwe.
Societal Touch is a free to use community that helps vulnerable groups in society like orphans, the poor and the sick fundraise money by giving them exposure to potential backers and donors.
Where we are right now.
Societal Touch Community is at it's infant stages.
For now this is what we do for people, we receive stories on WhatsApp along with details on where to send help and then we manually put this information on the website. From there proceed to make posts on our social media profiles.
This is helpful but it can be better and we are inviting you to help make it better.
What we want to do.
We want to upgrade the platform which will increase our impact to cater for everyone looking to start crowdfunding and the feature upgrades mentioned below will help speedrun the fundraising process for community users and propel Societal Touch to new heights.
1. Automatic Posting
We want to automate the submission of fundraisers. Societal Touch receives many fundraisers. Manual stories and information posting, goals and targets updating is a gruesome and tiresome process. Hence the need to automate the whole process.
2. Percentage & Raised Amount Tabs
We want to make it easier for backers and donors to support fundraisers by adding on a feature that will notify them about each fundraiser's progress. This will help them in deciding on how they can pitch in.
3. Accept donations directly via the platform
We are also looking to make it easier for donors and backers to send their funds directly to the benefactors via the platform by adding on a feature a donations tab leading to payment methods to complete transactions. This feature will help supporters to directly fund people via the platform in a short space of time.
Therefore to make these upgrades, we are looking to raise $300. These funds will go towards hiring Web Developers to develop these features and expenses for software upgrades.
Each dollar donated towards this cause will be most helpful.
